Paul will continue progress to revitalize and build healthy West Denver neighborhoods
- Worked to keep medical marijuana centers 1,000ft from schools, blocked six new liquor stores and problematic bars from our neighborhoods
- Work is underway to transform Federal Blvd. and Morrison Rd. into safer, beautiful streets that celebrate our unique West Denver identity
- Repaved 23.6 miles of our most dilapidated streets, helped bring a new grocery store to Barnum and will build our first new park in nearly 30 years!
Paul will work side-by-side with city workers to improve city services
- Successfully passed a new law to crack down and fine those caught illegally dumping
- Increased district recycling participation from 12% to 35% saving tons of trash from the landfill
Paul will continue to support to local business and create jobs for West Denver residents
- Helped create 155 units of affordable housing and 413 jobs for our neighborhoods to combat unemployment and foreclosures
- Worked to help redevelop Alameda Square while protecting local businesses and creating jobs for West Denver residents
- Currently writing a law giving Metro Denver companies preference over out-of-state companies for all City contracts and rewarding those who hire locally
Paul will continue priority neighborhood safety to prevent crime, graffiti vandalism and gang violence
- Worked with Denver Police and community leaders to reduce overall crime by 23% in Council Disrict 3
- Increased graffiti removal by 109 percent and voted to double penalties and fines for offenders
- Continues to collaborate with local and national partners to keep our youth away from gangs and graffiti vandalism
